Howard Henderson began developing his love of carpentry building dories and repairing lifeguard towers while working as a southern California beach lifeguard in the mid 1960's. As he and his wife Sharon traveled from beach to mountains pursuing their life-style, carpentry remained an avocation. In the late 1970's living in Sun Valley, ID, Howard began his career working on custom homes.
Since those early days, Henderson Construction has had a presence in the custom home/fine finish work industry on projects in Colorado, Arizona, Oregon and California. Howard and Sharon relocated to Gig Harbor, WA in 2004 and their son Miles, who had worked for his father on a part-time basis, joined the company permanently in 2005 to help expand Henderson Construction into the next generation.
